I first picked up this kit because of the Eglin Decals
that came with it. Thought it would be fun to model a aircraft from a
near by base. |
 |
 |
Then I saw these decals and decided that this is what I
wanted to do with this model. The decals were hard to get as they had
just gone out of production. |

Again you start in the cockpit. Again Hasagawa turns out a good
injection cockpit for their kit. |
 |
 |
 |
Again Hasagawa has put out a kit that practically falls
together quite nicely. As you can see by the 18" ruler that this is no
small kit. |
 |
 |
The only snag I hit was the cockpit canopy. It had a
seam running down the middle of it. (I have run into the same problem on
other large Hasagawa kits) A little sanding and future floor wax later I
had a good canopy. |

 |
The model now has it's base coat on and ready for the
camo next |

While waiting for better weather to paint in (I paint my
models in the garage and it has been to cold) I worked on the missiles
for this model. I also picked up some decals for the missiles. An
investment well worth it in the large scales. |
